Premier Energies Limited has introduced India’s first all-black G12R DCR (Domestic Content Requirement) solar module, the NeoBlack Series, at the RenewX expo in Chennai on April 27, 2026. The launch targets the residential and commercial rooftop segments, where visual integration with building design has affected adoption.
The NeoBlack Series modules are rated between 600 Wp and 630 Wp. They use tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) cell technology combined with a uniform black finish designed to reduce glare. The modules are developed with in-house cell architecture and an optimised module layout, enabling improved light absorption, anti-potential induced degradation (PID) performance, and stable output under low and diffused light conditions. The product carries a 12-year warranty and a 30-year power output warranty.
Srini Adapa, Chief Growth Officer of Premier Energies, stated that the product integrates design and efficiency to address the needs of urban consumers. Chandra Mauli Kumar, Chief Production Officer, said the company’s integrated cell-to-module manufacturing supports consistency, durability, and performance.
The launch expands Premier Energies’ position in the rooftop solar market, aligned with increasing uptake under schemes such as PM Surya Ghar. The company, an integrated solar manufacturer, has a 30-year operating history and has been certified as a Great Place to Work for five consecutive years.
