KEC International enters wind segment with a new order

KEC International Limited has reported new orders worth Rs 1,050 crore across multiple business divisions, including its first entry into the wind energy segment. The announcement was made on January 1, 2026.

According to the disclosure, the company has secured a breakthrough order for a 100+ MW Wind Project Balance of Plant (BoP) package in Southern India from a private developer. This marks KEC International’s maiden project in the wind energy space.

In the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) business, its subsidiary SAE Towers has secured supply orders for towers, hardware and poles in the Americas. In the Civil segment, the company has received an order in the Buildings and Factories (B&F) category for a downstream project in Western India from a leading steel company. 

The company has also received supply orders for various cables and conductors in both domestic and international markets. Commenting on the developments, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Vimal Kejriwal, said the new wins, particularly the first wind order, support the company’s growth outlook. 

With these orders, the company’s year-to-date order intake stands at approximately Rs 19,300 crore.
