A.P. Moller Capital to invest Rs 13.5 billion in renewable projects

A.P. Moller Capital plans to invest up to Rs 13.5 billion in renewable projects developed by Rays Power Infra Limited. The funding will be channelled through project-specific special-purpose vehicles. It is expected to catalyse at least Rs 52 billion in overall capital expenditure. The company said the investment will support execution, strengthen revenue visibility and enable collaboration, marking A.P. Moller Capital Funds’ first investment in India.

Cummins India approves acquisition of stake in Clean Max

Cummins India has received board approval to acquire an 8.78 per cent equity stake in Clean Max for Rs 27 million. The decision marks its entry into the renewable sector through a minority acquisition. The board approval covers the full value of the transaction. The company said the move aligns with broader industry shifts toward sustainable energy while it continues to focus on core engineering and manufacturing.

ACME Solar commissions additional 4 MW in Gujarat project

ACME Solar Holdings Limited said its subsidiary ACME Eco Clean Energy Private Limited has commissioned an additional 4 MW at its 100 MW wind project in Titoda, Sayla, Surendranagar, Gujarat. Officials from GEDA and PGVCL have confirmed the commissioning and a certificate is expected soon. With this, the total commissioned capacity has reached 56 MW. Additionally, ACME Solar Holdings has incorporated a new wholly owned subsidiary named ACME Greentech Seventeen Private Limited on December 23, 2025. The entity has been formed to undertake development, establishment and operation of power generation and renewable energy projects.  

KPI Green wins NTPC award for 1 TPD green hydrogen project

KPI Green Energy Limited has received a Notification of Award from NTPC Limited for setting up a green hydrogen project. The plant will be located at NTPC’s NETRA facility in Greater Noida and will produce 1 Tonne Per Day of green hydrogen using plasma gasification technology. It will convert municipal solid waste, refuse-derived fuel and agricultural waste into synthesis gas, which will be processed to produce hydrogen. KPI Green will handle design, supply, installation, commissioning and two years of operation and maintenance, with contract value of Rs 128.49 Crore excluding GST, subject to formal contract execution.

NTPC brings 82.04 MW solar capacity online with Solapur and Khavda additions

NTPC Limited has declared 13 MW from its Solapur Solar PV Project on commercial operation from December 25, 2025. With this, NTPC’s standalone commercial capacity has reached 60,796 MW and the group total has reached 85,623 MW. Separately, NTPC Green Energy Limited has declared commercial operation of 69.04 MW from the 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project under CPSU Phase-II Tranche-III from December 25, 2025. This has increased NTPC Green Energy Limited Group capacity to 7,996.30 MW, and both disclosures were made under Regulation 30 of SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.

REC announces incorporation of Apta Power Transmission

REC Limited has announced the incorporation of Apta Power Transmission Limited as a new subsidiary. It was incorporated on December 24, 2025, as a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited. The company has authorised and paid-up capital of Rs 5,00,000. It has been formed pursuant to a Government of Maharashtra order for developing an intra-state project to establish a 765/400/220 kV AIS Apta substation in Raigad district, and RECPDCL is acting as Bid Process Coordinator.

SJVN Green achieves COD for 1,000 MW Bikaner solar project

SJVN Limited said its subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Limited has achieved COD for the 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project in Rajasthan. The project spans 5,000 acres in the Banderwala area of Bikaner district. It is expected to generate 2,454.55 million units in the first year and about 56,838 million units over 25 years, with power supplied at a maximum tariff of Rs 2.57 per unit. Developed at Rs 5,492 crore under DCR mode using Indian-manufactured modules, it is expected to reduce annual carbon emissions by around 27,85,077 tonnes.
