Enerica Regrid Infra Private Limited (EnerGrid), launched by IndiGrid, British International Investments, and Norfund, plans to raise USD 450–500 million to scale its greenfield portfolio. The funds will support bids and development of transmission and standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across India.
The platform has already secured USD 300 million from its founding partners and is seeking additional capital from global infrastructure funds, with Avendus Capital and Ambit Group leading the fundraising.
EnerGrid has established a presence in the battery storage sector, commissioning India’s first large-scale utility BESS project in Gujarat this July.
