Author: PPD Team Date: September 2, 2025

GH2 Solar has announced a green hydrogen electrolyzer manufacturing plant in Piparsewa, Morena district, Madhya Pradesh, in joint venture with South Korea’s Advanced Hydrogen Energy Solutions (AHES). Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched the project in Gwalior.

The plant will start with a 105 MW annual capacity under SECI’s SIGHT programme, with an investment of INR 400 crore. This includes a 3 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) assembly line. GH2 Solar plans to expand electrolyzer capacity to 500 MW by 2030.

The facility will use advanced alkaline electrolyzer technology from AHES, with scope to add PEM and other systems. It is expected to create more than 300 direct jobs and contribute to India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission target of 5 million tonnes by 2030.

The project has support from Invest India and the Skill Council for Green Jobs. UK-based Rhizome Energy is also collaborating on sustainable design and engineering practices.
