Sapher has partnered with the Punjab government to develop solar farms in high-potential locations such as Fazilka and Ferozepur. This initiative is being executed in collaboration with Punjab Generation Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Punjab Energy Development Agency.
The goal is to boost the state’s renewable energy capacity while addressing challenges associated with canal-based hydropower.
We have been closely following Punjab’s renewable energy initiatives. This year, Solidus Techno Power Private Limited has signed an agreement with Jogindra Group to establish a 110 MWp captive solar power project in Punjab. Tolidus Techno Power has also partnered with the Jogindra Group to develop a 110 MWp solar power project in the state.
In addition, five firms have received Letters of Award (LoAs) from Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) to set up a cumulative 31.37 MW grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) projects.
