Lords Mark Industries Private Limited has secured a contract from the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) to develop 100 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power plants on government buildings.Â
The project will follow the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model.
In July 2024, Lords Mark had won 50 MW of base capacity at a tariff of Rs 4.9 per kWh. In December 2023, UPNEDA invited bids for 500 MW of rooftop solar installations on government, semi-government, and institutional buildings across the state.
The scope includes rooftop surveys, solar potential assessments, securing no-objection certificates (NOCs) from distribution companies (DISCOMs), and complete design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning of the solar PV systems. Operation and Maintenance (O&M) under the RESCO model on a net-metering basis is also part of the project.
Lords Mark will sign a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with building owners. The projects are set for commissioning within 12 months.
