Virendra Dogra wins LoA for feasibility study of 30.85 MW hydro projects in Tripura

Virendra Dogra Power Projects Private Limited has secured the Letter of Award (LoA) for a feasibility study to develop 30.85 MW of mini, micro, and small hydroelectric projects (HEPs) in Tripura. The company quoted Rs 8.142 million for the project.
Tripura Power Generation Limited (TPGL) invited the bid in November 2023. The scope includes assessing the technical, commercial, and economic viability of developing these HEPs on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
The study will cover 10 HEPs, including the 15 MW Manu Small HEP, 6 MW Deo Small HEP, and 3 MW Khowai Small HEP, among others. The work is expected to be completed within 360 days from the LoA issuance.
This project supports Tripura’s goal of achieving 500 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
