Waaree Renewable Energy Technologies Limited has won bids to set up a 170 MW capacity under Unit-III of the Neemuch Solar Power Park Project in Madhya Pradesh.

The company quoted a tariff of Rs 2.15 per kWh for the project.

The bids were invited by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) in April 2024. RUMSL, a joint venture of Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL), is developing three solar parks with a combined capacity of 1,500 MW in Madhya Pradesh’s Agar, Shajapur, and Neemuch districts.

The 500 MW Neemuch Solar Power Project is being developed in three units: Unit-I (160 MW), Unit-II (170 MW), and Unit-III (170 MW).

The project will be funded by the World Bank, with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) providing transaction advisory support.
