BHEL secures contract for Telangana Stage-II thermal power plant

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has secured a contract from NTPC Ltd to establish the main plant package for the 3×800 MW Telangana Stage-II supercritical thermal power plant.
The contract encompasses design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, commissioning, and civil construction.
BHEL has received a Limited Notice to Proceed (LNTP) from NTPC to commence basic engineering work for the main plant package.
Before this contract, BHEL had contributed to over 57% of NTPC’s thermal power installations nationwide, with a total utility power capacity of 168,000 MW installed across India.
