L&T secures Rs 150 billion NTPC contract for thermal power plants

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Energy CarbonLite Solutions division has received a ‘Limited Notice to Proceed’ (LNTP) from NTPC to develop thermal power plants valued at over Rs 150 billion. 

The contract includes main plant packages for a 2×800 MW Stage-II thermal power plant in Gadarwara, Madhya Pradesh, and a 3×800 MW Stage-II thermal power plant in Nabinagar, Bihar.

The project scope encompasses the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, and commissioning of boilers, turbines, electrostatic precipitators (ESP), auxiliaries, and associated mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil works. L&T aims to complete these projects within the stipulated timelines.
