JCBL South has manufactured and delivered 1,000 20-foot CSC Certified Containers to GE Vernova for export to the United States.

The order is among JCBL South’s largest international clean energy infrastructure manufacturing projects to date. The company executed the project for GE Vernova’s Grid Solutions business.

Project scope

Based in Oragadam, JCBL South, a JCBL Group company, specialises in heavy fabrication and engineered manufacturing solutions. The containers were manufactured to house Flex Inverter systems used in Hybrid Renewable Power Stations, which form part of GE Vernova’s renewable energy infrastructure portfolio.

The company said the entire project was executed in-house, covering design, fabrication, assembly, painting, testing, and final dispatch. The units were produced to meet global standards related to quality, safety, and operational performance.

Production expansion

To execute the order at scale, JCBL South established a dedicated production line. According to the company, the project led to improvements in production planning efficiencies and reduction in rework levels.

The company also undertook workforce training focused on sealant and paint operations to maintain consistency and finish quality across all 1,000 units.

“India is increasingly being looked at as a serious manufacturing base for global clean energy infrastructure,” said Mr. Rishi Aggarwal, Managing Director, JCBL Group. “Delivering 1,000 CSC Certified Containers for GE Vernova reflects the scale, process discipline, and manufacturing quality that Indian companies can now deliver for global energy projects. It is also an important milestone in JCBL Group’s clean energy manufacturing journey.”

Mr. Sandip Chakroborty, Managing Director, JCBL South, added, “This project required us to build capabilities while executing at scale. We had to create dedicated systems, stabilise processes, and train teams for highly specialised operations. Successfully delivering the project within the required standards and timelines reflects the strength of our manufacturing and execution teams.”

The company stated that the project strengthens its position as a manufacturing partner for renewable energy infrastructure as India’s clean energy sector expands.
