Boralex Inc. and Saint-Gobain have signed a 20-year renewable power purchase agreement (PPA) in France, covering three power plants that will supply renewable electricity to Saint-Gobain’s industrial sites. Samaiden Group has entered into a joint venture (JV) with PT MCS Bina Energi to expand its renewable energy operations in Indonesia. The venture, made through Samaiden SG Private Limited, a subsidiary of Samaiden Group, will focus on solar photovoltaic systems, power plants, and build-own-operate-transfer projects. Samaiden holds a 70% stake in the JV, while MCS holds 30%. Samaiden will contribute technical expertise, while MCS will leverage its local business and regulatory knowledge.
Powerica has secured a 50 MW capacity in the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) undersubscribed auction for a 500 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind power project (Tranche-XVII). The company won the allocation at a tariff of Rs 3.81 per kWh. A consortium of Westinghouse Electric Company and South Korea’s Hyundai Engineering & Construction has secured an engineering services contract with Bulgaria’s Kozloduy NPP-Newbuild.
