BGR Tech Limited has introduced its 100 kW hydrogen purification system designed to enhance electrolysis-based hydrogen purification. This newly developed system delivers 99.999 per cent pure, fuel cell-grade hydrogen and is engineered to operate at high pressures of up to 30 bar.
The system’s modular structure allows for scalability, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. The purified hydrogen can be used for fuel cells, combustion engines, and industrial processes like steel annealing.
The system is designed with a plug-and-play configuration, which allows for seamless manufacturing and on-site commissioning without requiring extensive fabrication.
In addition, recommendations suggest BGR Tech Limited expand its portfolio beyond hydrogen purification to include other gas-based fields such as biogas, methanol, and green ammonia, ensuring continued growth and technological development.
Headquartered in Chennai, BGR Tech Limited specializes in the engineering and manufacturing of process equipment for the energy sector.

Author: PPD Team Date: October 23, 2024 The Energy Market Authority (EMA) of Singapore has conditionally approved Sun Cable’s proposal to import 1.75 GW of low-carbon electricity from Australia. This electricity will be generated from solar power in Australia’s Northern Territory and transmitted to Singapore through a 4,300 km subsea cable. The project aims for commercial operations post-2035. To secure a conditional licence, Sun Cable must update its proposal to meet EMA’s conditions, including technical…
Author: PPD Team Date: July 23, 2025 The power ministry is examining the use of battery energy storage systems (BESS) for thermal power plants, according to two government officials cited by Moneycontrol. This will address rising operational costs caused by frequent ramping down of thermal units to accommodate renewable energy. So far, energy storage solutions have been targeted at renewable energy projects, which are inherently variable. BESS helps smooth this variability, especially during non-solar hours….
