BlueFloat Energy has secured strategic collaborations with Taiwan’s Ship and Ocean Industries R&D Center (SOIC) and the CR Classification Society to support its bid for Taiwan’s floating wind demonstration programme. These partnerships will enhance the company’s project development capabilities in the region.
In addition, BlueFloat Energy signed a memorandum of understanding with National Taiwan University’s Ocean Center to conduct a comprehensive morpho-dynamic study for its Winds of September project. This study will analyze Taiwan’s marine environment, crucial for designing floating offshore wind systems.
Since entering Taiwan’s market, BlueFloat Energy has worked closely with the government, industry, and academia to advance floating wind technologies. The company recently announced Phase 1 of the Winds of September project, which will install up to 12 floating platforms off Hsinchu City, delivering 180MW of capacity.
BlueFloat Energy continues preparing for the upcoming demo tender and aims to bring innovation to Taiwan’s renewable energy landscape.
