West Bengal approves 100 MW solar project under Ramnagar II phase-II

The West Bengal Cabinet has approved a 100 MW solar power project in West Medinipur district.
The project will be developed under Phase-II of the 212.5 MW Ramnagar II Solar PV Project. It is located at Goaltore in Garbeta-II Block of West Medinipur.
Phase-I of the project, with a capacity of 112.5 MW, has already been commissioned.
The estimated cost for Phase-II is Rs 6,800 million. Of this, Rs 2,050 million (30 per cent) will come from the West Bengal government and Rs 4,750 million (70 per cent) from KfW Development Bank (KfW).
This project supports the state’s push for more renewable energy capacity.
