Waaree secures contract for 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan

Waaree Renewable Energy Technologies Limited has received a Letter of Award (LoA) worth Rs 3,463.3 million from Purvah Green Power Private Limited, a subsidiary of CESC Limited. The contract, awarded on June 2, 2025, is for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of 300 MW / 435 MWp Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar power projects in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

The project was awarded through tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB). Waaree’s scope includes design, development, supply, installation, erection, testing, commissioning and final handover of the solar plant to Purvah Green.

CESC had floated the bid in July 2024 for 150 MW capacity, with a greenshoe option of another 150 MW. Purvah Green secured the full 300 MW allocation in September 2024.

The solar project will be developed on a build, own and operate (BOO) basis in Karnisar Bhatiyan village, Poogal tehsil, Bikaner. It will supply power to CESC and is targeted for completion by March 2026.
