Waaree Energies Limited has incorporated a new step-down subsidiary, WH Clean Fuels Private Limited, as it expands its clean energy portfolio into the green hydrogen and green ammonia segments.

According to a regulatory filing, the subsidiary was incorporated on August 3, 2026, with the Registrar of Companies, Mumbai. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Waaree Clean Energy Solutions Private Limited, which is itself a wholly-owned subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited.

New subsidiary

WH Clean Fuels Private Limited has been established to undertake projects and business activities related to green hydrogen and green ammonia, marking Waaree’s entry into the emerging clean fuels sector.

As the company has been newly incorporated, it has not commenced commercial operations and its turnover is currently nil.

The filing states that the incorporation does not involve any related party transaction. Since the entity has been newly incorporated, the consideration, cost of acquisition and price per share are not applicable. Waaree Energies also confirmed that none of its promoters, promoter group or group companies have any interest in the new subsidiary.

Business expansion

The incorporation marks Waaree Energies’ diversification beyond its core solar business into the green hydrogen value chain, in line with the growing focus on low-carbon fuels under India’s energy transition.

Waaree Energies is one of India’s leading solar PV module manufacturers and is also engaged in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for solar projects.
