Waaree begins operations at 1.8 GW solar module unit in Gujarat

Waaree Energies has started production at its new solar module manufacturing plant in Chikhli, located in Gujarat’s Navsari district. The facility adds 1.8 GW to the company’s annual module output.
With this addition, Waaree’s total installed solar module manufacturing capacity has reached 16.8 GW. The company also runs a solar cell production line with 5.4 GW of annual capacity and is actively expanding across the solar manufacturing chain.
Waaree plans to raise its annual capacity to 25.7 GW for solar modules, 15.4 GW for cells, and 10 GW for ingot and wafer manufacturing by the end of FY 2027.
