Vayona Energy has signed a 702 MW agreement with Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) to supply wind turbines for projects across Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu. The deal covers supply of 195 SG 3.6-145 wind turbines for multiple wind projects.
The installations are expected to add 702 MW of wind capacity and expand TPREL’s wind portfolio, which exceeds 2 GW including operational assets and projects under development.
Prashant Jain, Executive Vice Chairman of Vayona Energy, said the agreement represents a major milestone for the company’s expansion in India and strengthens its collaboration with TPREL.
Vayona Energy stated that its 3X turbine platform is seeing increased adoption due to performance under Indian operating conditions. The company said it is expanding manufacturing capacity to meet demand, with more than 3.6 GW in orders and over 2 GW installed as of December 2025.
Vayona Energy reported a portfolio exceeding 12 GW across operational and pipeline assets. The company was formed in December 2025 following the rebranding of Siemens Gamesa’s former onshore wind business in India under new ownership.
Earlier in the month, the company secured a 64.8 MW wind turbine supply and operations and maintenance (O&M) contract from Oyster Renewable Energy for a project in Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, marking its first turbine supply agreement in India after the rebranding.
The agreement with TPREL reflects continued expansion in India’s wind sector as developers scale renewable capacity.
