Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited (UPPTCL) has re-invited bids for Package 24 under the Uttar Pradesh Green Energy Corridor II (GEC-II) Project. The notice was issued on May 8, 2025.
The package involves the supply of two 500 MVA, 400/220 kV interconnecting transformers (ICTs). The contract will be executed on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) turnkey basis.
The estimated package cost is Rs 443.1 million. The last date for bid submission is June 9, 2025.
UPPTCL had earlier floated bids for the same package in February 2025.
The GEC-II scheme is aimed at improving renewable energy evacuation across Uttar Pradesh. It is jointly funded by the Central Government and Germany’s KfW Development Bank.
The funding breakup is as follows:
- 47% through a loan from KfW
- 33% as a grant from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India
- 20% from the equity contribution of the Government of Uttar Pradesh
