Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) and Tata Motors have entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to develop a 131 MW wind-solar hybrid power project in India. The agreement was signed on April 21, 2025.
The power generated from this project will be supplied to six Tata Motors manufacturing plants located in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Set to produce around 300 million units of clean electricity annually, the project is expected to reduce over 2 lakh tons of CO₂ emissions each year.
This renewable energy solution will ensure a reliable, cost-effective power supply to Tata Motors’ operations, supporting the production of both commercial and passenger vehicles.
This initiative is a major milestone in Tata Motors’ clean energy transition, helping the company achieve its RE-100 commitment ahead of its 2030 target. It further accelerates Tata Motors’ progress toward climate-resilient, net-zero emissions operations, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable manufacturing.
