Tata Motors and Thunderplus have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set up 5,000 EV charging stations across India, targeting commercial fleet operators.
Under the agreement, Tata Motors will roll out public charging stations in major cities across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, West Bengal, Bihar, and Maharashtra. The chargers will be strategically placed at logistics hubs to support fleet operations, improve efficiency, and enhance earning potential for operators.
The stations will feature fast-charging technology and integrated digital solutions, enabling a seamless and scalable charging experience for commercial EV fleets. This initiative is aimed at strengthening the EV infrastructure to support the growing adoption of electric commercial vehicles in the country.
