TARIL secures Rs 228.3 crore GETCO transformer order

Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Limited (TARIL) has secured an order worth Rs 228.26 crore from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO) for the manufacturing and supply of transformers and reactors, along with related works.

The order covers the supply of six transformers and two reactors and is scheduled for execution by August 2028. The latest contract adds to TARIL’s presence in India’s power transmission and energy infrastructure segment.

According to the company, the order reflects continued traction in securing utility-scale projects and supports ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s transmission network and grid infrastructure.

India is expanding and modernising its power transmission system under the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, with growing investments in grid infrastructure and network reliability. TARIL stated that its manufacturing capacity and execution capabilities position the company to support evolving requirements in the sector.

The latest contract marks TARIL’s second domestic order win this month. Earlier, the company secured a Rs 175 crore order from Bhanwariya Infra Projects Private Limited for the manufacturing and associated work related to four transformers and five reactors. Delivery for that order is scheduled on or before March 2028.
