Tanzania will host the African energy summit on January 27–28 in Dar es Salaam, bringing together heads of government and over 1500 executives from multilateral agencies, the private sector, and diplomats.
The summit aims to revolutionize energy access for 300 million people across Africa by 2030.
Key objectives include the adoption of the Africa energy compact, the endorsement of national energy compacts for 2025–2030, and the approval of the Dar es Salaam Declaration on sustainable energy.
The summit will focus on renewable energy development, expanding electricity access, and promoting clean cooking energy.
