Adani Power Limited (APL) has secured a contract to supply 1,500 MW of thermal power to Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL). The supply will come from the upcoming Mirzapur Thermal Power Project in Uttar Pradesh.
UPPCL had invited bids for this contract in March 2024. APL emerged as the selected bidder through a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process.
The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved the signing of a power purchase agreement (PPA) between APL and UPPCL. The agreement will be valid for 25 years, starting from the beginning of power supply in 2030.
