RRECL invites bids for 282 MW rooftop solar projects

Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECL) has issued a tender for the development of 282 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) projects on government buildings across Rajasthan.  The bid submission deadline is November 26, 2024.  The project scope covers design, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and 25 years of operation and maintenance (O&M) from the commissioning date.

Power Grid acquires Bikaner A and B Transmission Projects for Rajasthan REZ

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) has acquired Bikaner A Power Transmission Ltd (BATPL) and Bikaner B Power Transmission Limited, both established to support the “Transmission system for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ Phase IV (Part-3: 6 GW) [Bikaner complex]” on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.  The acquisition from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), the bid process coordinator, was completed on November 11, 2024.

PFCCL transfers transmission subsidiaries to Powergrid

IndiGrid, Kintech Synergy, and H.G. Infra Engineering have emerged as winners in NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam’s (NVVN) auction to develop 500 MW/1,000 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) with Viability Gap Funding (VGF) support.  NVVN, a subsidiary of NTPC, allocated 250 MW to IndiGrid 2 at a tariff of Rs 236,999 per MW per month. Rajasthan and UAE sign MoU for Rs 3 trillion investment in 60 GW RE projects

The Rajasthan government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for an investment of Rs 3 trillion to develop renewable energy projects with a combined capacity of 60 GW in solar, wind, and hybrid energy across western Rajasthan.  The UAE will appoint a qualified developer to manage project governance and administration, ensuring efficient and swift implementation.

NLC India and RRVUNL to set up lignite-based thermal power plant in Rajasthan
