NTPC Green signs MoU for 2000 MW renewable energy projects in Chhattisgarh

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL) to develop renewable energy projects with a capacity of up to 2000 MW.  The projects will include floating solar power installations. The MoU was signed on November 26, 2024, in Raipur by Shri G. K. Gupta, Chief Engineer of CSPGCL, and Shri D. Joshi, General Manager (Engineering) of NGEL.

SJVN inks MoU with Rajasthan government for 7 GW renewable energy projects

SJVN has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Energy Department of Rajasthan to advance renewable energy development in the state. As part of the MoU, SJVN will develop 5 GW of pumped storage projects and 2 GW of floating solar projects in Rajasthan. Masdar, Sarawak Energy, and Gentari explore floating solar plant in Malaysia

UAE’s Masdar has entered a joint study agreement with Sarawak Energy and Gentari to evaluate the feasibility of a floating solar power plant at the Murum Hydroelectric Plant reservoir in Sarawak, Malaysia. The study will assess the technical feasibility, environmental impact, and economic viability of the project. Uttar Pradesh targets 14,000 MW solar power

Uttar Pradesh is advancing its renewable energy goals by partnering with energy firms to establish floating solar power plants, aiming to reach 14,000 MW of solar power generation by 2027.  Under the ‘PM Surya Ghar Yojana’, the state targets connecting 2.5 million households to solar energy. Rayzon Solar secures PV module supply contract for L&T’s projects

Rayzon Solar has won a contract to supply 216 MW of high-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) modules to Larsen & Toubro (L&T) for three solar projects across India. The modules will be integral to L&T’s floating solar projects at Panchet and Ramagundam, as well as a ground-based solar project in Bihar.
