Rajasthan floats tender for 500 MW/1,000 MWh BESS

Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) has issued a tender to establish a 500 MW/1,000 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) with an additional greenshoe option of 500 MW/1,000 MWh. The deadline for bid submissions is December 16, 2024.  The capacity will be distributed across multiple sites, including the Giral Lignite Power Project in Barmer, the Suratgarh Thermal Power Station, and substations in Sakatputa, Kota, and Jaipur.

HG Infra declared qualified bidder by NTPC Vidyut Vyapar

HG Infra Engineering has been declared the qualified bidder by NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam for 185 MW/370 MWh as part of a 500 MW/1000 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project.  The project is supported by viability gap funding, and the tariff rate is set at Rs 2.38 million per MW per month.
