Author: PPD Team Date: June 23, 2025

Suzlon Energy Limited has secured a contract from AmpIn Energy Transition Private Limited for a 170.1 MW wind power project in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The order was awarded on June 20, 2025.

Suzlon will supply 54 units of its S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs), each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW. These turbines will be installed on Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) towers, which allow for higher hub heights and improved energy yields.

Beyond equipment supply, Suzlon will handle the complete project execution, including erection and commissioning.

This project is part of AMPIN’s strategy to scale its renewable energy portfolio to 25 GW by 2030, with a focus on supplying clean power to India’s commercial and industrial consumers. The partnership aims to decarbonise state distribution companies (DISCOMs) by delivering domestically manufactured, reliable clean energy solutions.
