Suzlon has won a 204.75 MW wind energy order from Jindal Green Wind 1 Private Limited, a subsidiary of Jindal Renewables. The order includes the supply of 65 S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with hybrid lattice towers, each with a capacity of 3.15 MW.

The project will be executed in Tamil Nadu’s Karur region, with the generated power used for captive consumption in steel plants in Chhattisgarh and Odisha. This is Suzlon’s third order from Jindal Renewables, bringing its total commercial and industrial (C&I) order capacity to 907.20 MW—its largest C&I order to date. Earlier, Suzlon secured two orders for Jindal Steel’s plants in Chhattisgarh and Odisha, adding 702.45 MW.

C&I customers now account for 59% of Suzlon’s total order book, which has reached a record 5.9 GW—the highest in the company’s history.

Industry leaders on the partnership:

  • Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman, Suzlon Group: “We are proud to drive India’s steel decarbonization with Jindal Renewables. Expanding our Low CO₂ Steel movement to Tamil Nadu reinforces our commitment to sustainable industrial growth.”
  • Bharat Saxena, President, Jindal Renewables: “This third order with Suzlon reflects our commitment to sustainable practices and our vision to become the largest decarbonization solution provider.”
  • JP Chalasani, CEO, Suzlon Group: “With our expertise in renewable energy, Suzlon is helping industries reduce their carbon footprint while ensuring long-term energy security.”

Despite the strong order book, Suzlon’s stock has declined 31.71% over six months and 25.19% in three months. However, its market capitalization has reached Rs 692.10 billion, with the stock gaining 19% in a year and 495.30% over two years.
