Sterling and Wilson partners Shinsung for semiconductor HVAC projects
Sterling and Wilson Private Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Korea-based Shinsung E&G to jointly pursue cleanroom and dryroom heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for semiconductor, battery, and display fabrication facilities in India and the Middle East.
The partnership will focus on jointly bidding for, acquiring, and executing projects related to high-specification fabrication facilities. Sterling and Wilson will contribute its experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) execution, while Shinsung E&G will provide specialised HVAC technology capabilities.
Target sectors
The collaboration is aimed at semiconductor fabrication plants, outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) facilities, battery manufacturing units, and display fabrication plants.
According to the companies, demand for specialised cleanroom and dryroom HVAC systems is increasing in India and the Middle East as semiconductor and advanced manufacturing investments accelerate.
India has been positioning itself as a manufacturing hub for semiconductors and related supply chains through production-linked incentives and other policy measures. The growth of fabrication and electronics manufacturing facilities is expected to create demand for advanced HVAC and MEP infrastructure.
