SJVN Limited’s 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh surpassed its highest-ever generation figure of 2,098.03 million units on March 26, 2026, eclipsing the previous record set in FY 2019-20.
Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, SJVN, confirmed the milestone. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), was present at the power house when the record was crossed and acknowledged the contribution of the original equipment manufacturer team and station staff.
The station had already hit its design energy target of 1,878 million units for FY 2025-26 on December 8, 2025, which the company said was the fastest achievement of that benchmark since commissioning.
The Rampur record extends a run of output milestones across SJVN’s portfolio. Last week, the company’s 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project crossed 1 billion units of generation, reaching that mark in under three months from its commercial operation date of December 24, 2025. Earlier this month, the Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station crossed 150 billion units of cumulative generation.
Vikas Marwah, Head of Project at Rampur, attributed the achievement to support from SJVN’s management and the efforts of all station employees.
