SJVN Limited plans to commission Unit-I of the Chausa Coal-Based Power Project, also called the Buxar Thermal Power Plant, by March 2025.
The project, located in Chausa, Buxar district, Bihar, involves two units of 660 MW each and is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 104.39 billion. Of this, 70% is being arranged through debt financing.
Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) is serving as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for the project.
