SJVN Green completes trial run of 241.77 MW solar capacity in Bikaner

SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a subsidiary of SJVN Limited, has completed the trial run of 241.77 MW capacity under Phase-I of its 1,000 MW grid-connected solar PV power project (CPSU Tranche-III) in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The trial was completed on March 31, 2025.
The entire 1,000 MW project is being developed by Tata Power Solar Systems Limited on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis. The project cost is Rs 54.92 billion, with completion expected by September 2025.
The project is part of the 12,000 MW Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) scheme Phase-II. It is being implemented under Tranche-III with viability gap funding (VGF) support on a build, own, and operate (BOO) basis.
Power from the project will be supplied under a Power Usage Agreement (PUA) to Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL), Jammu and Kashmir Power Corporation Limited (JKPCL), and Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Limited (RUVITL).
