Sharika Enterprises Limited has received a purchase order worth Rs 9.47 crore from Larsen and Toubro Limited (L&T) for the supply of communicable Fault Passage Indicators (FPIs) for the RDSS Varanasi SCADA project under Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (PuVVNL).

The order is scheduled for execution by December 31, 2026. PuVVNL is the state power distribution company serving eastern Uttar Pradesh.

The contract is part of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), a central government programme aimed at reducing aggregate technical and commercial (AT&C) losses and upgrading distribution infrastructure through smart metering and automation. SCADA-linked FPIs play a role in this framework by identifying and communicating fault locations on distribution feeders, which helps reduce outage duration and enables faster restoration.

Sharika Enterprises, based in Noida, operates in the smart grid solutions segment, supplying equipment for distribution automation. L&T is among the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors implementing RDSS projects across multiple states.
