Shakti Pumps Limited has received a letter of award (LoA) from the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) to install 877 solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across Maharashtra.
The project falls under Component B of the PM-KUSUM scheme for promoting solar energy in agriculture.
The contract is valued at approximately Rs 239.1 million and is set for completion within 120 days. The scope of work includes designing, manufacturing, supplying, transporting, installing, testing, and commissioning the solar pumps.
Shakti Pumps, founded in 1982 as Shakti Electrical Industries, has evolved into a major player in the energy-efficient pumping sector.
