Serentica secures Rs 8.58 billion ECB for 300 MW solar project in Rajasthan

Serentica Renewables India Private Limited (SRIPL) has achieved financial closure for its 300 MW solar power project in Rajasthan. The company has secured over Rs 8.58 billion (USD 100 million) through External Commercial Borrowing (ECB) from Rabobank and Societe Generale.

The power generated from this project will be supplied to Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vedanta Limited.

This forms part of Vedanta’s broader plan to procure 691 MW of renewable energy for its Aluminium, Copper, and Oil and Gas operations across India.
