Serentica Renewables has announced plans to develop renewable energy projects with a combined capacity of 10 GW in Andhra Pradesh, supporting both India’s clean energy goals and the state’s green vision.
This initiative aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s target of 72 GW in renewable capacity by 2030, providing a foundation for sustainable industrial growth in the region.
Pratik Agarwal, Chairman of Serentica Renewables, emphasized the state’s renewable potential, stating, “Our 10 GW commitment is a bold step toward unlocking it, providing round-the-clock green power that supports regional development and India’s sustainable, energy-secure future.”
As part of its broader 2030 goals, Serentica aims to establish 17 GW of round-the-clock renewable projects with 5,000 MWh of storage, with 4 GW to be operational by 2025.
The company has partnered with Greenko Group for energy storage, with 1,500 MWh from upcoming Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh projects, supported by an additional 3,500 MWh of battery storage.
Serentica targets an annual delivery of 50 billion units of renewable energy by 2030, aiming to cut carbon emissions by 47 million tonnes.
