NTPC, Sembcorp, Solarcraft , Hero Solar, Reliance Power win bids in SECI Tranche XVII auction

Five firms have won bids for setting up 2,000 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connected solar power projects and 1,000 MW energy storage systems (ESS) under Tranche-XVII of the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), announced on December 9, 2024.
The successful bidders and their respective capacities are as follows:
Sembcorp Green Infra Private Limited (Sembcorp Energy India Limited) – 150 MW solar and 75 MW ESS at a tariff of Rs 3.52 per kWh
Solarcraft Power India 8 Private Limited (Blupine Energy Private Limited) – 150 MW solar and 75 MW ESS at a tariff of Rs 3.52 per kWh
Hero Solar Energy (Hero Future Energies) – 270 MW solar and 135 MW ESS at a tariff of Rs 3.52 per kWh
NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited) – 500 MW solar and 250 MW ESS at a tariff of Rs 3.52 per kWh
Reliance Power Limited – 930 MW solar and 465 MW ESS at a tariff of Rs 3.53 per kWh
The scheduled commencement of supply date (SCSD) for the projects will be 24 months from the date of signing the PPA.
