Torrent Green Energy Private Limited (TGEPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Torrent Power Limited (TPL), has secured two Letters of Award (LoAs) from Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for developing a total of 300 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connected wind power projects.
The awards were issued on June 11, 2025, following a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process under Tranche-XVIII. TGEPL quoted a tariff of Rs 3.97 per kWh.
The awarded capacity includes two projects of 175 MW and 125 MW, respectively. TGEPL will also be responsible for setting up a dedicated transmission network up to the interconnection or delivery point to supply power to SECI.
SECI will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the developer. The projects are expected to be commissioned within 24 months from the date of PPA signing.
The total estimated investment for the 300 MW wind projects is Rs 26.5 billion.
