ReNew has commissioned 750 MW of its 1 GW solar project in Rajasthan, with the remaining 225 MW set to become operational by January 2025.

The project, developed in partnership with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), is designed to supply clean energy exclusively to Rajasthan through three Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).

Part of the Make in India initiative, the project focuses on localisation, with 90% of the solar panels manufactured in Rajasthan and all panels produced within India.

In July 2024, ReNew also inaugurated a 400 MW solar project in Pokran and Bhaniyana, Jaisalmer, under a 600 MW initiative with SECI.

The company has invested Rs 210 billion in completed and ongoing projects across Rajasthan and plans to scale this investment to Rs 620 billion by 2030.
