Reliance Power Limited, through its subsidiary Reliance NU Energies, has secured a 350 MW solar power project connected to the inter-state transmission system. The company received a letter of award from SJVN Limited, which conducted the competitive auction.
This project will also include a 175 MW/700 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS), enabling better grid integration and energy management. The tariff for the project has been fixed at Rs 3.33 per kWh for 25 years.
The tender was part of a larger auction issued by SJVN in September 2024, which included 1,200 MW of solar capacity and 600 MW/2,400 MWh of battery storage.
With this win, Reliance Power’s clean energy pipeline now includes 2.4 GW of solar DC capacity and over 2.5 GWh of BESS capacity.
