REC appoints Rajiv Ranjan Jha as PFC nominee director

REC Limited has appointed Rajiv Ranjan Jha as the Nominee Director of Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) on its Board, with effect from April 6, 2026. The appointment follows an order issued by the Ministry of Power.
The approval has been granted under Clause 5.1 of the Share Purchase Agreement signed on March 20, 2019, between the President of India and PFC.
Jha is currently serving as Director (Projects) at PFC, a position he has held since October 28, 2021. He earlier served as Executive Director (Projects) from May 27, 2019. He has nearly three decades of experience within PFC and a total professional experience of 37 years.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Jamshedpur (Ranchi University) and a Diploma in Management from IGNOU.
