Andritz secures Rs 1.09 bn contract for GIS work at Teesta-V

Andritz Hydro Private Limited has secured a contract worth Rs 1,093.7 million for the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of key electrical infrastructure for the Teesta-V Hydro Power Project in Sikkim.

The scope includes a 420 kV gas insulated substation (GIS), a 400 kV outdoor pothead yard, 400 kV cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) cables, and related accessories. The tender was issued by NHPC Limited in November 2024.

The 510 MW (3×170 MW) Teesta Stage V Hydro Electric Project, developed by NHPC, was commissioned in 2008.
