Rajesh Power Services wins Rs 75 crore RVPNL GIS substation order

Rajesh Power Services Limited has secured a turnkey order worth approximately Rs 75.05 crore from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RVPNL) for the construction of a 132/33 kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) at Pal, Jodhpur, along with associated transmission line works.

The 132/33 kV GIS will have two 50 MVA transformers, providing a total transformation capacity of 100 MVA. The project is scheduled to be completed within 18 months.

Project scope

Under the turnkey contract, Rajesh Power Services will undertake the survey, supply of all equipment and materials, erection, testing and commissioning of the GIS substation and associated transmission infrastructure. The scope also includes the civil works required for the project.

The total order value is approximately Rs 75.05 crore, inclusive of taxes. The company said the contract was received in the normal course of business.

Rajesh Power Services confirmed that the order is not a related party transaction. It also said that no promoter, promoter group or group company has any interest in RVPNL, the entity awarding the contract.

Last week, the company secured a turnkey contract from Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) for works under the utility’s System Improvement (SI) Scheme in Gujarat.
