Rajesh Power Services wins Rs 40.58 crore PGVCL contract
Rajesh Power Services Limited has secured a turnkey contract from Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) for works under the utility’s System Improvement (SI) Scheme in Gujarat.
The contract, valued at approximately Rs 40.58 crore, inclusive of taxes, covers the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 11 kV Medium Voltage Covered Conductor (MVCC) along with associated accessories and allied items across 11 kV feeders in PGVCL’s Jamnagar Circle.
According to the company’s regulatory filing, the project is to be executed within a period of 12 months.
Project scope
The awarded work is aimed at strengthening distribution infrastructure under PGVCL’s System Improvement Scheme. Medium Voltage Covered Conductors are increasingly being deployed by distribution utilities to improve network reliability and reduce outages caused by vegetation, weather events and accidental contact with conductors.
The project will involve replacement and augmentation of existing infrastructure across multiple 11 kV feeders within the Jamnagar Circle.
Contract details
Rajesh Power Services stated that the order has been received in the normal course of business and is domestic in nature.
The company also clarified that neither its promoters nor members of the promoter group have any interest in PGVCL. It further stated that the transaction does not fall under the category of related party transactions.
The latest order adds to the company’s portfolio of distribution infrastructure projects undertaken for state-owned utilities across India.
