Rajesh Power Services secures Rs 34 crore utility orders

Rajesh Power Services Limited has received two domestic orders worth a combined Rs 34.37 crore, including taxes, from state power utilities in Gujarat and Rajasthan, according to a regulatory filing.

The contracts cover distribution infrastructure maintenance and transmission system modification works and are scheduled to be completed over the next nine to 12 months.

PGVCL contract

The larger of the two orders has been awarded by Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL) and is valued at Rs 21.57 crore, including taxes.

The contract involves SCADA readiness and rectification of Ring Main Units (RMUs), along with a comprehensive warranty maintenance arrangement across the utility’s Bhavnagar, Jamnagar and Rajkot circles in Gujarat.

The work has been classified as a maintenance contract and is to be executed within 12 months.

SCADA-enabled RMUs are increasingly being deployed by distribution utilities to improve network monitoring, fault detection and operational reliability in urban and industrial areas.

RVPNL contract

Rajesh Power Services has also secured a turnkey order worth Rs 12.80 crore, including taxes, from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RVPNL).

The scope of work includes converting the existing 220 kV double-circuit Jodhpur-CHB transmission line into a 220 kV underground cable system. The project also includes the installation of monopoles at Jodhpur.

The contract is scheduled for completion within nine months.

Underground cabling projects are typically undertaken in densely populated areas or locations where right-of-way constraints limit the expansion of conventional overhead transmission infrastructure.

The company stated that both orders were received in the normal course of business and are domestic in nature.
