The Government of Punjab plans to install rooftop solar power systems with a combined capacity of 30 MW on 390 government buildings by March 2026.

The project is estimated to cost Rs 1,500 million and will be implemented by the Punjab Energy Development Authority (PEDA).

The rooftop solar initiative will cover prominent buildings from 25 departments, including Health and Family Welfare, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Local Government, and Water Resources.
