PTC India Limited has formalised Dr. Manoj Kumar Jhawar’s role as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), following a change in executive leadership designation effective April 13, 2026.
The Board of Directors approved the redesignation from “Chairman & Managing Director” to “Managing Director & CEO” at its meeting, as disclosed in a regulatory filing dated April 15, 2026. The change follows shareholder approval obtained through a postal ballot concluded on March 20, 2026.
The revision reflects Dr. Jhawar’s relinquishment of the position of Chairman of the Board. PTC India stated that all other terms and conditions of his appointment, including remuneration approved at the 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on August 8, 2025, remain unchanged. He will continue as MD & CEO for the remainder of his current term, which runs until he attains the age of superannuation (60 years) on August 19, 2028.
Following the change, the company noted that his office will now be subject to retirement by rotation.
Dr. Jhawar, 57, holds a Ph.D. in Management Sciences and is a qualified Cost Accountant. He joined the PTC Board as Director (Commercial & Operations) in January 2024 and was appointed Chairman & Managing Director in May 2025. He has over three decades of experience in the power sector, including leadership roles in finance and commercial operations at MP State Electricity Board and MP Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Ltd., with expertise spanning regulatory affairs, finance, and commercial functions.
